Carole’s sonography profession started in the mid-80’s with the advent of real-time Ultrasound. She worked at the Montreal General Hospital where real-time ultrasound was developed and introduced into practice. In Montreal, Carole developed her skills as a vascular, cardiac and general sonographer. In the early stages of her career, she was drawn to the realm of education, serving as a clinical instructor for junior sonographers and radiology residents. Carole was also chosen as the representative for Quebec to CSDMS (now Sonography Canada) where she served two terms. During her tenure, she was chair, treasurer and presenter for the two Sonography Canada conferences in Montreal. Carole is also involved in published research papers in respected radiology journals.

Now located in Toronto, Carole worked for 13 years as a sonographer and preceptor to radiology residents at Toronto General Hospital. Carole’s love of teaching presented her with multiple opportunities to be involved in teaching ultrasound scanning during humanitarian educational trips to Uganda, Ethiopia and Haiti.
